Returns a list of all the columns in the DataTable in SQL format which can be used in a SELECT command etc. public static string BuildAllFieldsSQL ( DataTable table ).The file GenerateSQL.cs contains the code for a static class GenerateSQL, which has the following functions: Note that this has only been developed for simple functions, but the basics are generally applicable for other applications. I actually developed these functions because I needed to INSERT rows into a database and get the value of the Identity column on the fly as I tab through a DataGridView adding new rows. The code presented here does this by using functions in the Designer code to generate such strings. You would also like these lists to be automatically updated whenever a change is made to the database. Sometimes, however, you need additional SQL commands that contain a complete list of all the fields in the DataSet. Other commands can be added by going into the DataSet Designer and adding commands via the Add SQL Wizard. For the above tabular structure, the concatenate formula would look like: Once the data is ready it is very easy to generate the SQL queries using excel string addition operator – &. Using excel operator ‘&’ to generate SQL query Often you may have to use lookup formulas to clean up the raw data imported in CSV formats. Have your data readyįor our purpose the data is arranged like this:Īs you can see, the data has to be in a tabular format so that you can easily generate the query statements. But you can easily extend this technique to come up with complex query statements. The example below shows a simple insert statement generated from customer data in a table. Here is a tutorial if you ever have to use excel to generate SQL statements. I have used excel plenty of times to generate SQL insert / update statements which I could later execute on the database console. Often when you are working on 2 incompatible systems and try to import data from one to another, excel can be a handy tool.

With the funky theme of the weekend, their songs had everyone dancing and hollering. As usual, Walker & Royce typically cater their performance to the crowd, and this time was no different. The absolute jaw-droppers of the night, though, had to be Walker & Royce and Chris Lake. The changeover between BIJOU and Lee Foss took an uncomfortable amount of time, but once he began, Lee Foss got the funky rhythm going. On Friday, Lazer Kitten and mija started the day off, followed by the bass house sounds of BIJOU featuring some of his hit songs like the collab “ Hello” with Dr. Photo Credit: Chatterz Photography Each artist throughout the weekend played some of the best house music I’ve seen in a while. Though the lines for food and drinks were pretty long, they moved quickly. The beautiful weather, neither hot nor cold, kept the vibes high with each day. Since the entire event is at a single stage the whole weekend, it was nice never having any conflicts on the schedule and being able to enjoy each artist on the big outside platform. According to multiple attendees, these new inclusions made a huge difference in how they like the venue now. Additionally, there is now a large cement lookout tower in the back of the crowd that has steps in front, offering more seated areas. The addition of turf instead of grass felt amazing to be able to sit down and not get dirty. Usually known for its muddy grass floor and a hill tough to walk up, The Great Saltair has made some changes this time around. Located at The Great Saltair outside Salt Lake City, the weekend party had great weather, new venue additions, and a whole lot of fun! This year’s edition featured a lineup of phenomenal artists like Chris Lake, Walker & Royce, Dom Dolla, and SIDEPIECE, making it a house music lover’s dream come true. V2 Presents reliably curates great lineups for their seasonal festivals, and their kick-off to summer, Get Funky, topped the charts. After Roddick masters the Guard Break and Power Burst combat skills, it becomes far more reliable and does more damage than anything else he can attack with. It costs 15 MP per use, hits multiple times, and can stunlock most anything while keeping him out of range of melee attacks. At this same time, the necessary skills for Music and Orchestra become available.Use Alchemy to create Philosopher's Stones to sell and the player will have more than enough money for the entire rest of the game. In the SNES version, the powered-up version of Roddick (Ratix)'s Double Slash (Souhazan) is hideously overpowered: you could get the item needed to learn it relatively early in the game, and the main benefit over the normal version is that it shoots out 2 large energy crescents after the second slash. * Same page link to Offer Details Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection * Same page link to Offer Details Priority Pass Select MembershipĮnjoy a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership at 1,300+ VIP airport lounges worldwide -a value of $469/year. Most Maritime Regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL etc.) apply to ships based on their Gross Tonnage. The tonnage is calculated by a complex formula that is not within this article’s scope. This includes the Engine Room and other non- cargo spaces as well. Gross Tonnage is the volume of all enclosed spaces on a ship. Some ship terms and definitions, though commonly famous in day-to-day life, are often misused on ships. (Image Credits: Hydraulic Watertight Door closing arrangement A remote indication of the status (open / close) of watertight doors is required by regulations. Most of the doors on car carrier vessels and Ro-Ro decks are watertight. Watertight doors are located below deck level and are designed to open and close upwards or sidewards (usually by automatic means). On the other hand, watertight doors are designed to prevent water ingress from both sides, thereby ensuring that the watertight integrity of the neighbouring compartment of the ship is not lost. These doors are designed to open outwards, thereby ensuring a positive pressure should a draught of water act on them. Most of the doors on deck/accommodation on tanker ships are weathertight doors. Their main use is to prevent the ingress of green seas into the space of the ship they are designed to protect. This generally includes a small head of water. They are designed to prevent the ingress of water from outside to inside. Weathertight Doors are primarily located above the waterline of the vessel. The key difference between these two doors on ships is the location of their siting. These ship terms might not be very famous among people outside the industry but are well known among maritime professionals. In a recent AMA on Reddit, game director Alexandre Letendre revealed that Arcade mode will not be returning in Far Cry 6. Unfortunately, this mode will not be making a comeback in Far Cry 6. It was one of the most interesting new features of the game, giving players the chance to unleash their inner creativity, either by building maps from their imagination or recreating ones from the likes of The Last of Us, Silent Hills, and Dark Souls 3. We also understand that they are both concerned but neither has to say so directly. We still get from this exchange that one of the speakers has a brother named Richard. “Have you finished running the reports?” he asked. “Have you heard from Richard?” Blanche asked. Here is how it might be rewritten with unstated meanings implied: Let’s take a look back at the earlier passage. Your dialogue will be much more interesting if it’s not just characters stating the obvious. Often, the real meaning behind what they are saying is discernible to either the other characters in the story or to the reader. In their daily life, people often spend a lot of time not saying what they mean or concealing their meaning in their speech. People often do not say exactly what they mean, and this can be used to your advantage to make dialogue interesting: Use implication and hidden meanings If huge numbers of people have been disappearing as a result of Richard’s invention, Richard’s brother is likely to have heard something about that. However, the other information Blanche conveys is likely for the reader’s benefit as well. This is obviously only for the reader’s benefit. One is that Blanche tells the person she is speaking to the name of their own brother. There are a number of reasons besides the silliness of the information that make this exposition seem unnatural. “Ever since your brother, Richard, invented the invisible ray, people have been disappearing in enormous numbers!” Blanche exclaimed. It’s easy, however, to make the common error of having one character tell the other something that character already knows or in a way that the character would never speak. In an attempt to avoid info dumps, writers will sometimes try to convey the same information via dialogue. Even when a character does stumble or ramble in speech, the dialogue should demonstrate this without accidentally bogging the reader down in the parts of a conversation you find frustrating in life. Unless the point of a passage of dialogue is to show a character doing this very thing, this should be avoided as well. One thing we often do when we speak is fumble for words or ramble before getting to the point. The key in writing strong, snappy dialogue is to choose a few notable features to stand in for any unusual quirks of language and aim to write speech that sounds natural even when it technically is not. It is rarely a good idea to try to recreate the speech exactly as it sounds. When writing about a particular place, you may want to capture a particular dialect, accent or way of speaking. This will help you see what in your dialogue needs fixing. One of the best ways to make sure your dialogue reads well is to read out loud. That’s because people often interject pauses and words like “um.” They may speak in a way that is understandable in a conversation but is difficult to understand when written. One of the first things to remember about writing dialogue is that it should capture the essence of how people speak without actually copying the exact way that people phrase things. Here are 7 rules for writing dialogue: Make your dialogue imitate life If written well, it engages readers and increase their identification with characters. Dialogue can serve a number of purposes in fiction including developing character, building suspense and advancing plot. The results are softly pretty at their core, but often explosive enough to imagine filling up a big concert hall.
